I got to be part of this large scale event and group show as part of a showcase and research for UAL. All affiliated with the university could apply and I was able to display a drawing for the show.
The aim of the event was to draw more on the connection between drawing and cognition. How drawing is enabling people to problem solve and work through ideas.
I chose to enter a recent drawing I had made as part of the body of work I made for my final MA show ‘Centre Phase to the Horizon Line’
This embossed drawing is built into the relationship I have with circular and perpetual movement. It has an online map to go with it, marking where all the counterparts to this work reside. jezellapigott.co.uk/horizon-map
Mapping movement in this way forms a new set of points for me to use in a new body of work.
