Shortly after making drawings using a hair brush and a comb I decided I wanted to start working with magnets to make my drawings led by other forces other than myself. I bought some iron filings and started to record myself working with them. I really enjoyed the way the filings came to life on the paper, they seem to have a life of their own, standing up, falling down, shuffling back and forth getting lost amidst the dust.
