This series of drawings document my first week in attending the life drawing classes at the Wimbledon College of Art.
The class began with the model walking around the room in a circular motion which was used to help us loosen up movements and prepare mentally for focusing during longer periods of time.
It was a real learning curve for me to fit the entire model into the frame of the paper.
During the last pose, I think due to the fact the model was lying on her side, I used the perpendicular line to help shape the drawing into more of a geometric style, in which the body contours are defined in a much stronger way.
