A collection of sketches made from a collection of dried leaves I had on my desk in the studio.
Using these as my starting point to consider the lively lines within the structure of the leaves to help build up a new understanding of how to build form into a sculpture through drawing.

I made a large pile of the leaves to create a coalescing/moving feel to my sketches.
In keeping the lines form light, yet precise I am considering how these outlines can translate from a drawing into a hanging sculpture using ropes/fabric.
